Motivating the DW

Had a question about hitting the trail this season.

I was wondering if anyone had a partner that seemed to have lost the spark.

Since retiring the wife is happy on the couch with her notebook gaming with the Farmville etc... thing.

I seem to be having a rough time convincing the wife to hook up and go.

Not sure if she is wanting to be close to town, getting less and less tolerant of crowds or fearful of traveling too far out and away.
I'm kind of thinking she may be a bit scared of the size 5ver we have now...me is wanting to see how really limited we are in them NFS campsites.

Really thought I was the worry wart problem child, yet I'm itching to get going in spite of...

We were always the adventurous type and could face anything together.
...any thoughts?

    If it were me, I'd be camping alone.

    I've done it before and I'm sure I'll do it again. It'd be nice to share the experience, but I'm not going to loaf around the house with nothing to do when I can be enjoying the great outdoors.

    Holy cow !
    I say " what do you think, want to head out with the TT next week for a weekend trip", and she is packing the trailer.

    Maybe you need to start calling it your "Love nest" --Works for us!

    Take her somewhere that has things *she* enjoys or likes to do - even if it's only "her thing". Example, a town that has quilt shops, antique stores, etc.

    YOU can be doing your thing while she does hers.

    YMMV, so -

    If that doesn't work, go fishing (or?) by yourself.

    BTW - *I* can think of lots of things *I* like to do, but the DW isn't interested. I usually can fit them in while she watches a soap opera or something, LOL!

    Normal for couples that have been together for a long time. Do you do anything fun while camping? I could name some activities, but there are so many, and maybe she would rather just read a book? What's wrong with that?

    If you think she is intimidated by the size of your 5er, take her to an rv show and see what turns her on. Getting something smaller may just appeal to renewing her interest. You both gotta be happy or it just won't work.

    My 2nd wife was like that, keep trying and you'll find a good one. The one I have now has been with me for 27 years and she'll go wherever she desides we should go.

    My significant other has a hard time getting going, so I plan the trips. Once he is on the trip, he has a good time. Maybe you could plan a trip somewhere she would enjoy and see how it goes.
