Windows 7 is still the mainstay of corporate America. Windows 8.x and 10 are just starting to come into the corporate world. If Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 they would have a revolt on their hands from their corporate buyers. In effect, they would be biting the hand that feeds them.
