Need gps recommendations
Have never had a GPS system.Wife and I have a 34' 5th wheel and plan on going to places we haven't been before so was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Ease of use VERY IMPORTANT (NOT TECH SAVVY), also accuracy.

I figured that one out myself so it can't be too hard.
bumpy- Garmin, easy to use but like all tech stuff there is a learning curve. Just upgraded to a 2699 LMTHD (life time maps and traffic), large screen and Voice Command which works OK.
However the OP may become challenged with follow on steps like:
1. Installing and using Garmin Express for updates.
2. Installing and using Basecamp for locations (POIs) and routes to be downloaded to the device.
3. And beyond.

None of this is rocket science but more learning, etc. - The Rand McNally has the ability to go online, do a trip at their "Tripmaker" site, then down load it to the GPS.
We have a Garmin which has led us down some real paths to no where. - Garmin RV760 is worth a look, I've had no issues with this model.
- one thing to make sure is the ability of mapping out a trip in a mapping program to tweak it and be able to copy it into the GPS.
bumpy - Garmin all the way. I've used my phone on occasion and it has worked fine, but I much prefer the larger screen I have with my Garmin The other issue with using your phone is that you will also be using data so if you have a low limit on your data, it could create a problem.
- I've had several Garmins, interrupted by a Magellan. To be fair the Magellan was several years ago, but I found it cumbersome in caparison to the Garmin. We still employ a map or atlas along with the Garmin because it's not uncommon to find its routing less than optimal. Still, Garmin is the first brand I look for when I'm considering an upgrade.
- Garmin fan here also. I recently 'upgraded' and tried TomTom. It's not for me. Going back to Garmin.
- I have used others and for ease of use Garmin is the way to go. I two, remember they are not fool proof. I always double check with maps. The settings you use make a huge difference, shorter distance, faster route, no toll roads, uturns etc.
Get used to it around home before a major trip. - Another vote for large screen! Easier to see and read.
Only brand I've had, is Garmin.
