netflixs

We are going on an extended road trip with lots of stops. Last year we had trouble with the wifi signals in the campgrounds. I've seen a few antennas on-line that say they can fix this problem. Need advice. Thanks for any help.
  • Howdy!

If you depend on campgound WiFi forget it especially streaming video. Your better off with you on data (MiFi, smatphone hot spot etc...). We use a WiFiRanger mobile to boost WiFi signal but us it mostly when our Verizon does not work which is not very often.

  • An antenna will help you connect and stay connected to the campground wifi but as dahkota said, if lots of people are streaming Netflix, it may not be a usable connection.

I'm with you. Most campground wifi is barely adequate for checking e-mail let alone streaming a movie.
  • Is your question whether you can get an aftermarket wi-fi antenna that will help you stream Netflix with campground wifi?

The thread header seems disconnected from the thread body. What kind of trouble are you referring to in your post?

You can buy, or make, an antenna that will improve your wifi connectivity. It will not help with the speed of the campground wifi, but it will help you connect. Streaming Netflix off the average campground wifi is pretty much an impossibility.
