Never Order Online from Camping World

What a joke. I ordered 10 days ago, 3 items online for a total of 143 dollars. I asked for the items to be shipped to the camp ground I am currently staying at. Looking online, I see no delivery information or status. I am now on the phone on hold for 20 minutes.

Some companies should just stay away from dealing online if they cannot do it. This is one of them!!

I buy from Amazon and always without a hitch, delivered as promised. I will continue to update this horror story. Will be moving campground soon, so we will see where my stuff ends up. By the way, these are simple items you can readily buy online.

Still on hold. REPEAT - Do Not buy Online from Camping World

    Well I received my two items I had ordered from Camping World. Of course I have not received any credit for the item cancelled as promised. I am sure this will require another 40 minute phone call or another post to get that credit sorted out.

    In the meantime, I ordered a surge protector form a competitor, 30% cheaper, great follow up of emails with tracking numbers, and arrived on time. Great service.

    So Camping World, where is my credit?

    And some folks insist on praising CW even when it is well known that they have the poorest customer service and RV service in America.

    I had an online motorcycle parts business that I started in 2001 and sold in 2008. A customer deserves the following online:

    1. Immediate confirmation of the sale by email stating the order, along with if any items are back ordered, giving the customer the opportunity to adjust the order. This should include an estimated shipping date.

    2. A second email stating the order has shipped. This should include a tracking number for the customer to track.

    3. A final email from the seller asking the buyer of the satisfaction level of the order, sale, and tracking.

    It is not rocket science. I would hate to see their operation, I envision many people bumping into each other and stressed out to no end.


    Sorry for your trouble with CW and GSE. And you are 100% right about what is needed ordering online and it isnt rocket science.

    Product now shows picked up in Saugus,CA at 7 pm. So hopefully will get by Friday.

    It always amazes me when people comment on any of the very many problems with private corporations that they insinuate that is like a government run enterprise. Lots of government run segments are better than a selection of private for profit corporations.

    Now checked UPS tracking, product still not picked up for shipment. According to UPS a shipping label has been created, doesn't mean anything has shipped. Looks like I fell for that one. Never again!

    Wanted to, but they said the two items are in route. (Which UPS still shows as not picked up, and no showing a delivery date) They said Once received... I would need to decline, and once they received back, they would credit my credit card.

    In this day and age awful they can't make this all work. So many choices out there. I suggest to all, to use those other choices. It is a shame, a company that bases it whole identity on a mobile / traveling customer, can't make this work timely.
