- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIIs two gigs an hour for HD content sound about right? and about half that for non HD? Just wondering if those numbers seem reasonable?
- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIThis is a very interesting deal....since I don't do much streaming in the RV, (none really), I'm wondering what this deal would afford you on let's say Netflix.....how many hour's of streaming would 25 gig's get you? I know it depends a lot on resolution but I wouldn't be looking for HD quality.
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IITonight I cancelled my nearly worthless unlimited Sprint business plan. It was about $50/month and I never was in an area with more than 1 bar of LTE service. I will have to pay an $80 ETF but that's much better than the $400 I would have to pay for the remaining 8 months on the contract.
My AT&T Mobley is doing just fine so I will likely wait until my next move to see if AT&T will suffice or whether I should add this new Verizon plan. - hypoxiaExplorerI called FMCA this morning and signed up. Jetpack should arrive next week. I have the ATT Mobley which is OK but have found no service some places where my Verizon has excellent service.
Grand kids went through 16 GB in one day. - STBRetiredExplorerwhen you sign up, they ask for a phone number and your FMCA membership number and state that they will contact you. So far, no call or email after signing up last night.

The price is down to $43.99. Wonder if it will get lower.
FMCA has announced a new data plan being offered in conjunction with Verizon.
FMCA/Verizon unlimited data plan $ 49.95 - Dutch_12078Explorer IIThis is different from the Omnilynx deal in at least one respect. VZW knows up front that this plan is intended for RV'ers...
The failed Omnilynx VZW plan was replaced with a similar plan from either Sprint or T-Mobile as I recall. But the new plan had much more restrictive entry requirements that eliminated participation by outsiders. - STBRetiredExplorerDecided to give it a try. Current Jetpack is on month to month so can get it off contract at any time. Now that 10GB limit is being enforced, I have to limit streaming when no satellite reception. Will see how this goes and if there are any gotchas. Am already FMCA member.
- The_TexanExplorergo to the internet for RVers facebook page who have a write up on it .... Good, BUT still not the best and read the fine print.
- MrWizardModeratorthe data arrangment and Pricing and billing sound exactly the same as the omnnilynx school system deal, that only lasted a few months after Rv'vers found out about it, i think I got (2) months use on that one before it canceled
i hope those needy school kids got to keep it
a few months ago i would have jumped on this,
but now i have the ATT Mobely to go with my old old gradfathered vzw UL plan
so i'm going to stay put, with what i have
thanks for the heads up and the link
