I never thought about a scanner. That would be helpful to know about accidents so we could take an alternate route. In Southern Colorado, there was a sad accident where a cattle trailer fell over the bank next to a river and we were held up for several hours. The road was narrow so it was difficult to turn around.
We got the 32gb because we shoot lots of photos so i can share my rockstar images plus I love my music so can store my faves. iBird West takes up lots of storage as does Audubon's wildflowers. We too use Verizon as out in the West you can see that coverage is spotty. And, w ego where you find fewer people like the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau.
