New online order

I just became a member to Good Sam and this forum. I have read the reviews about the issues with online orders from Camping World. I decided to place an order anyway. I wanted to give Camping World my support while they are going through their ordering system upgrades. I think that they will be able better serve the RV and camping customers better than Amazon or other online ordering sites. Just my opinion and am hoping for the best.

  • I wish CW would do better. I'd really rather not support Amazon, which I think has gotten too big and has become the Walmart of it's business model. I'd much rather support smaller or specialized companies but CW just keeps blowing it.
  • It is beyond me as to why some are willing to pay more for the same product just because they want to "give CW a chance".
    Sure, aome small items may cost the same as "the big box Amazon", but larger, more expensive items are almost always cheaper. Maxxair fans are almost $100 bucks cheaper on Amazon. Hitches and hitch equipment are usually a lot cheaper. RV supplies are cheaper. LED lighting, both interior and exterior is much cheaper, for the same items.
    So what if Amazon is big, and getting bigger. They offer free 2 day shipping (with Prime membership) for most items, and their return policy is second to none.
    Just bought a top of line Derale 40 row tranny cooler, expensive. Came in damaged. Contacted Amazon who then contacted Derale. Had a new replacement in 4 days, and they didn't even want the damaged one back.
    I'd like to see CW do the same!!!

  • We are new members to Camping World and after a visit to one of their stores, that did not have the items in stock, I placed an order on-line not aware of the issues they were having with the order processing. Based on my experience at the store level and now with order from their website, I will truly need to review the value of their membership. It definitely should not take a week ro process and order with today's technology. We will be luck to have three small items delievered to us us within two weeks at the rate that CW is handling our order. A very big disappointment for a new member.

    I understand your theory, but CW is far from being a smaller company. I guess they are specialized though. I consider them the "Wal Mart" of camping, without the low prices....

  • My order says it has shipped today. I have a tracking number. Seems as quick as any Amazon order I have placed in the past.
  • I placed my order on Sunday the 21st and I received it on Wednesday the24th. I am happy. Great work Camping World. Thank You
  • I placed my first online order with CW on 6/15/15 for 3 exterior step carpets. Today is 6/26/15 and my order is still "processing". After a 15 minute hold, I was told the order is "processing" and no guess on when my order would ship!!! Still hoping they can find them and ship (out of KY) by the 4th of July!!!
