I've been buying tons of RV parts, car parts, tools and all kinds of other stuff on the internet from all over the world for going on 20 years and have rarely had any kind of issue. If you take a few precautions, you'll be just fine. Sometimes you simply have to sit back and wait for something to show up and not lose sleep over it.
First precaution is to choose an online vendor wisely. Not sure if
RV Parts Overstock looks like the kind of place I'd buy from judging by the looks of their website and they only have an email address. Prices are pretty attractive. I've also never heard of them. Secondly, get the right type of CC - we use Visa because we can make a no-hassle claim and get our money back plus we get double the manufacturer's original warranty. Ebay now finally allows credit card payments which is good. Amazon and Ebay both can have issues and aren't foolproof. We rarely buy from CW online or in-store mostly because the items can be found cheaper elsewhere. There's a dozen or so online RV parts vendors that are excellent like Tweety's, Makarios RV, PPLmotorhomes, etc.
If you can't be at a particular address every day to receive a delivery, there's always a mailbox service. Some have after hours pickup (for an extra fee). Try and buy from a vendor that ships via USPS or courier and can provide a tracking number.Be careful about ensuring you get a full factory warranty on an item when you buy online because sometimes you may only get 30 or 45 days and sometimes doing a return is a HUGE hassle and may cost you for the shipping.
I often do a google search on a vendor (and/or sometimes the item or manufacturer) and add "forum" or "RV forum" (if an RV item) and find positive and negative comments on various forums that help decide to buy or not or to run like h*ll. RV Parts Overstock doesn't seem to show up much at all on Google, which could be good or bad...
'Course, sometimes after hours and hours of online searching, you can on occasion find what you're looking for locally at the lowest cost. :R
