Everything now is HDMI
A new desktop will have good video, but it might not have an RGB or VGA output Port
You might need a video card , or external Port converter, to go from HDMI to xvga? For the monitor
Sound? It will have excellent sound range capability
But an audiophile wanting to listen to Mozart is going to need to improve the speaker system
