I use a Puppy Linux on a usb stick for 98% of my on-line. Solves lots of problems.
Norton and the others were so resource heavy, that I quit using them. I do keep AVG active on the Dark Side for when I need a windows session on-line, otherwise on-line is Linux based. BTW, in linux, I run with the processor at half speed, and is still faster than Windows with full speed processor.
