My lap top connects to my wifi router, my wifi enabled printer connects to my wifi router but when I try to print something I get a message that says not connected. I am getting a headache trying to figure out what is wrong.....

First, reboot. Which means turn everything off and start over again.

Are you selecting the right printer when you click "print"? On my computer, a box comes up listing several "printers" and I have to make sure the one I want is both listed and selected.Some of the possibilities that I have are:HP OfficeJet 6500HP Envy 5535Microsoft Print to PDFMicrosoft XDS Document Writer Sometimes it also takes a while for the print job to start.I think I also would remove and re-install the printer to make sure the printer is working properly with the laptop. Is it an HP printer? We have the same problem randomly- lots of complaints about this issue on the net. No fix.

Was the printer connected directly to the laptop at some time? If it was setup that way it cannot talk to it. Just delete the printer from the laptop and reset it up.You could also re configure it as an IP printer.Your laptop needs to know it is printer to an IP printer not one connected directly to the computer.Ken

Is it an HP printer? We have the same problem randomly- lots of complaints about this issue on the net. No fix.
