Depends on the TiVo.. and it is likely the salesman remembers when DirecTV's DVRs were TiVos.

You see.. Back when sat-tv receivers with built in DVRs came out DISH NETWORK copied the very good ReplayTV intereface, got sued and paid.

Direc copied the much poorer TiVo, got sued and for some time all Direc DVRs were branded TiVo as a result (Direc Lost)

Direc now owns ReplayTV so.. one hopes the user interface has improved.

TiVo makes a stand alone unit (Replays no longer made) which can indeed record DirecTV, DishNetwork, Over the air, Cable (your choice of format) and more. Same as my Replays.

It is likely this is what is being built in, a TiVo.

As for satellite tv.....

My Replays, between the two of 'em can hold 290 hours of video. I've less than 50 horus of record time left.

I'm going to have to upgrade one of my computers and start moving video off to the computers.. Thankfully the comnputer can offload video from the replays (Eitehr of themn) via LAN and .. Stream said video back to either of them as well, WIthout regard to which one recorded it in the first place. They also share files. And more.

The salesman probably mean "satellite ready", meaning there's a plug somewhere inside the camper that runs to outside the camper for the satellite system (your choice). My Outback has 2 outside jacks. One is for cable, the other is for satellite. The cable goes through the walls and to 2 plugs inside the camper. The satellite plug just goes right through the way by the television in the living room. It would be nice if that line was also wired to the bedroom where the second antenna plug is for cable-air television. I think that's what he's talking about. It's just a dedicated line so you don't have to put a cable from your receiver to the satellite dish through your window.

As a side note, welcome, you will love your Creek, Ours is nine years old and still looks and works as new.
BTW they supply Jensen TV's so you might try and get a TV delete and just go out and buy quality TV;s when you get it.

If it fits I might put in on a track system behind the basement door and then go with better

I suspect that is exactly what sales person meant. Most sales people do not know a whole lot about their own products. Guess it would be difficult to know everything about every RV you sell.

Two different systems. Never heard of such non sense.
But, you do know how to tell when a salesman is lying don't you? His mouth is open.

By built in I mean wired in with it's own dedicated spot to sit
