went from xp to 8.1 w/ ease. FAST startup (a few seconds).

unlike xp where i spent SO MUCH time on defrag, disk cleanup, virus checking -- NO MORE. i let 8.1 do whatever it wants automatically, and AFAIK, i have a clean machine.

it also runs legacy stuff like office 97 and s&t 2007 w/o a hitch.
