[OP Update] Windows 8.1 compared to Win7 - user experience

Switched to 8.1 on 3 laptops here at home. Have all 3 on the old style classic desktop so wasn't a big change there. No need to use the touchscreen tile system on a laptop or desktop. So far all my older software has worked fine and really no big issues.
Even my non techie wife really finds windows 8 works fine. If you are having issues I would suggest a driver or setting issue and probably just post the issue on onje of the forums and one of us techie types can give a quick answer for you.
