Pathway X2 + Dish with 2 Receivers

Is there a specific setup sequence you go through, as far as connecting the coax?

I gave it a try when i got home today and told the satellite I had 2 receivers. (I actually did not, only one hooked up).

It went through the setup process without giving me the options as before. Sure enough, it locked on to a satellite, which was in a different spot in the sky than I usually use. After checking the system, I was on #72.

And as you said, I had no local or national programming.

So if I hook up two receivers, and only tell the satellite I have one, what steps do I take to hook up the 2nd receiver?

Is there a certain point before, during, or after the satellite scan that it should be hooked up?

This was my first year with mine and I was so frustrated that I almost returned it... When I first get to where I am going, I set up the Pathway X2, plug the main coaxle, then the secondary coaxle. I then go inside and turn on the main TV.. choose 2 receivers, the state, and EA, or West..
