Well, when it comes to satellite antennas think about the king of fat.. Er, Burgers.
The bigger the burgers the better the burgers the burgers are better at the big fat kings, (Burger King).
Same is true of Sat dishes.. The bigger the dish part of the antenna, the better the antenna. Winegard Pathfinder X-2 is the biggest automatic currently.
I do not have it installed here, but I do have a CD with a computer program that calculates WHY the bigger dish is better and how much better (And yes there is a point of diminishing returns, or example a C-band dish, with a tight enough mesh would outperform a common tripod dish but .. the difference in cost would exceed the increase in performance by a fairly large percentage).
