Portable satellite
Thinking of buying a new 5th wheel. We have always had a roof satellite. With the prices of the portables looks like a good option. Does anyone have a Winegard or Flex for Direct TV? Any problem...

I have a roof mounted dish and portable. I really don't mind setting it up but I am sure if I had a automatic satellite finder I could get spoiled quickly.
But as a warning to others: We were on the central Oregon coast planning to watch the Winter Olympics. Oops no Olympics. After numerous calls to DTV it was discovered that in that area DTV DOES NOT transmit any SD local stations - all stations are HD. Several other posters have also reported this for other areas. So I upgraded to the RF Mogul SWM dish which is compatible with the HR24.
Since then I upgraded the house to SWM both dish and upgrade to HR44 receiver (receives both SD and HD but SWM only). The 5 channel recording is beneficial for watching pre recorded shows when trees are in the way of the dish for the rig.
In the future I may add a SWM portable dish for the rig.
