Prevent laptop sliding around non-permanently, inexpensively

I'm looking to mount a 17" laptop non-permanently to the top of this cabinet. The wall behind the cabinet is the front wall of the trailer. I wish to make no permanent changes to either the cabinet or...

Find or build a tray that the laptop can sit in. Use Velcro to secure tray to cabinet top. Use Velcro to provide additional in attaching laptop to tea. Leave airflow space and don't apply Velcro over any laptop air vents. The tray should have a lip large enough to protect the laptop.
