Prevent laptop sliding around non-permanently, inexpensively

I'm looking to mount a 17" laptop non-permanently to the top of this cabinet. The wall behind the cabinet is the front wall of the trailer. I wish to make no permanent changes to either the cabinet or...

Forget the Velcro, get something called "Museum Putty" (sold in small packages) It is the best way not to gunk up your finishes, etc. You can buy some at Home Depot as QuakeHOLD or Amazon
