Prevent laptop sliding around non-permanently, inexpensively

I'm looking to mount a 17" laptop non-permanently to the top of this cabinet. The wall behind the cabinet is the front wall of the trailer. I wish to make no permanent changes to either the cabinet or...

Plan B, I can put it on the floor inside the cabinet. Actually I think I like that better. We have a small portable router which I could mount higher on the wall for a clear connection between laptop and Android tablets. Just a thin wall between us. As a bonus, I can put a lock on the cabinet.
