Problems with iPhone photo syncing

When hubby synced our photos to our desktop, only 8k of the 10k transferred, but iTunes thinks it transferred all 10k. We went to iTunes and we’re able to recover the 2k photos and put them back on the camera roll. When he tried to download them to our computer, it came back with a message that said “ No new photos found.” (There were a few photos in the group that were not in the original sync attempt.). How can we get these 2k to sync & download? Are we missing something? Thanks!!!

Do you just plug in the iPhone like you are syncing & then it is accessible? We do have a windows laptop. Thanks!

yup. attach it via USB cable then open windows explorer. it will show up like just another device. take a look at the screen shot from our PC. when I attach my iPhone 7 to our windows PC it shows up in the list of attached devices, drives and partitions...you'll see my iPhone 7 in the list. the second image shows what you should see once you left click on the device and expand it's contents. please remember to unlock your phone by entering the passcode or use the fingerprint scan. while the phone is locked you won't/can't see the contents of the phone. then it's just a matter of copying or moving files from one folder on your PC to the proper folder on the phone.

  • Can’t really help with the iTunes issue as I have always done what rk911 suggested and use the windows photo import features. Very quick.

Is there a feature on ITunes to transfer all? Can you mark the photos on the phone as new?

I’ve given up on Windows and do most everything on IPad or IPhone and use the cloud for storage.

    Hope you find a solution.
  • if you’re using a windows pc your simply use windows explorer to copy or move photos between the phone and your pc.
