Just my thoughts~~~we have a brand new Verizon 4G tower not 500' from our home.
The problem is that no phone other than the newer 4G can access it.
And Verizon is installing newer equipment and software all over the country.
In my area if you don't have a 4G phone you cannot access the newer tower. And it's my understanding that all companies are in the process of doing the same thing. They are forcing you to upgrade your phone service to stay connected.
I first ran into this about a year ago when my wife would not connect to call me from SE AZ when her sisters has no problem. There phones were 4G as was the newer tower there and at the time my wife's phone was only an older 3G.
You might think you have phone service where you really have nothing.
