The problem with using facebook is that not everyone is on it.
And many people such as myself have no interest in participating in facebook.
So if you post a link to a "blog", any non member will only get a screen inviting them to sign up for an account. They will not see the content you are trying to present.
I have had many people try to send me a page to look at and because I don't do facebook, I cannot view it.
