question on millenicom / other wifi systems

For a period of time I used a Virgin Mobile 3-G dongle on my computer when I needed internet and did not have it.
I gave it up when I upgraded my T-Mobile phone (4-G, More data and teatherable)
Anyway, the deal here was you can buy a 10 dollar virgin, a 20 dollar virgin or a 50 dollar virgin, use it for a week (10 buck) or month (others) with differing data limits.
They use the SPRINT network.. So if Sprint covers where you go.. IT works.. I think other providers now have a "pay when you need it" including one from wally world that's 15 bucks per Gig of data.
I figured out how much data I burned in Jan, It would cost me almost exactly what my T-Mobile phoen with unlmited yakety yak, Unlimited SMS and Unlimited low speed data with the first 6.5GIG being 4G (I used 6.6) to at 15 a gig that would be 105 dollars. PLUS taxes, more than my cell phone (Which is less than that tax included).
That said.. T-mobile does not have nearly the 4-g coverage Verizon has. Though I am trying to get 'em to upgrade a tower or two.
