As a person with several GPS Apps for IOS devices, I find the price a bit to high for the Rand McNally app. I should also state that I am an IOS developer and frankly believe the vast majority of IOS apps are under priced. if you are not already aware, you should know for the mapping to work on an iPad you need to have the cellular (3/4G) version of the iPad.
Before you spend a $100 bucks, you might want to check out the AllStay app for $10. The user interface is not as polished as the Rand McNally app, but my testing of it has shown it to be very functional and capable with a very large database. I have no connection with the developer, but for the price I find it to be an excellent choice. It is a Universal app also, which means it will run on an iPhone. It interfaces with both apple maps and google maps for turn by turn voice instructions on both the 3/4 G iPads and iPhones.
