The X2 requires you to point to the 72.7 satellite (not good for Western US) for both receivers to be able to watch any channel without conflict trying to point to 1 of 3 satellites. However, there is NO Network programming on 72.7. If you want to be able to watch Network programming then you will need to use the signal tuner option and do the check switch routine on the master receiver and then, using the same master cable do a check switch routine on the 2nd receiver. Now, the master receiver will select which satellite you are watching base upon the channel selected and the 2nd receiver will be able to watch any channel broadcast from that same satellite.
