Replacing Old VCR/DVD Receiver with new Receiver
I have installed 3 new flat screens in my Rig. I am looking to pick up the Wineguard Anser portable satellite and 2 VIP Dish receivers. I also would like to replace the old VCR/DVD Receiver combo with Blu Ray and a new receiver and I would love to have use of the HDMI cords so the high def works but the switcher box is only coax.
My coach is a 2005. Do newer coaches have different switcher boxes that have HDMI and are wired thru out as such?
I'd like to purchase a new receiver for the coach to make use of the surround sound built in speakers. When I pulled out the VCR/DVD receiver it had special plugs at the end of the speaker wires that plugged into the Receiver. Could I just cut those off and use just the wire to connect it to the speaker inputs on my new receiver? Also, the new receiver has a special audio plug for the sub woofer to be plugged into but my subwoofer has just a standard wire going into the old VCR/DVD receiver.
I have a lot of experience installing home theater systems for my family and friends but could use some suggestions on this one!
