Reply not working on email?

I use Outlook mail through my Hotmail account and found that it was not sending emails although they were in my "sent" box. When I clicked "send" it would go to my draft box and show a moving bar to show the progress and when sent my draft box would go away. Sent myself several and they never showed up in my in box. Did lot's of searches, followed lot's of suggestions and nothing worked. Never had an issue with receiving. Finally decided to uninstall Google and reinstall. Problem solved.

Well, guess what? It's now fine again, and working. We actually have Cable Comcast WIFI in-house ...

Here's my best guess - I was having a go-around (via email) with a tech team that wanted to take over my author website -- I noticed a little 'oddness' with email during that 'conversation' - back and forth emails. So, I deleted all his emails and all my responses to him, then dumped it out of the delete-basket. I also shut down twice and rebooted - same issue still.

No change - but that doesn't mean some kind of reboot doesn't take place with glitches in the IPS or server itself - I'm not tech smart at all but know everything has to recycle itself or renew itself regularly.

SO, after all those deletes, and a C:/ drive clean-up, and when I now opened the email and tried "reply", it now works as it should ... some of you tech guys probably know how this happened, but I'm just glad it's either fixed itself, or the deleting of that tech team sales pitch killed it... always puzzled when this stuff happens, because I never do anything different myself.

I use Outlook every day for multiple email accounts. Also Windows Live email for 3 other accounts. Windows 10. It all works perfectly.

I go look, and it's nothing i can do, it's on their end, the provider, who supplies the web mail service for the cable company
Anywhere from 12 to 48 hours it is back to working

yeah it is. been using it for years and works fine for us. you may be thinking of the old and now defunct outlook express.

It's worked fine until today ... couple months ago, I upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7, but had no issues until today and it won't reply to anyone, it's not just one email address. No matter who I replay to, it give same blank page

which version of outlook? older versions don't get along with WinX.
