Restore computer to purchase date?

My computer has slowed to a crawl. I have only a Windows system disc. Is it possible to start over with the computer at the level I had the day I bought it? And how do I do it? Thanks
This happens off line and on line.Takes along time to to change sitss,Curser freezes, And after a minute or so it makes a noise like a door bell and is ok for a short time.

I have run Malwarebytes,Io bit,have de-fraged at least once a week,and I run a microsoft scan often.
  • From the day you buy a Windows based computer you should run a utility such as Advanced System Care (ASC). I suspect CCleaner is a similar product but I have not used it. Every time you use your computer, surf the web, run a windows update, or just sneeze something changes on your computer which might affect performance over time. ASC will diagnose your system, perform repairs, enhancements, defrag your disk, system registry, and will do a good job in keeping things working as best they can.

Adding additional memory is probably the most effective way to perform overall system performance. Having insufficient memory will force Windows to work extra hard to manage memory and causes a lot of disk activity that will sloooow things down.

I would try ASC or other utility before dropping back to square one.
  • Not to Steal the original post but I have a question, running a new system with windows 7 professional is CCleaner, Malwarebytes, etc. still recommended. I run Firefox, IE and Opera.
  • What are the specs for your computer?

I run CCleaner, Registry Repair Pro, Malwarebytes and Avast. Even my 8-mo old has slowed down some. Considering adding more memory - not sure how much that will help.
