Results of Wilson Sleek 4g-A Antenna/Amp/Booster for HTC

I need to boost my cell phone signal for both voice and data.

Searches, well, searches. Research gets a little confusing for someone that knows their limitations. Wilson seems to be one option, but which one. Any others.

Can anyone recommend a wireless Antenna with booster for the 4gLTE & 4g system.

Thanks, once I get one and set up, I'll come back and provide the results as to how it worked.

Thanks for any input.

But as to who makes 'em.. WILSON.

Per Wilson Electronic Twitter, they are compliant with the new rules. I sent them a tweet the day the new rules were publicly announced.

No They are not . No amplifier on the market meet the new standards that come into effect on March 1 2014 . There will be no grandfathering only units that pass the new standards will be allowed to be sold . If it is deemed your current unit is interfering with a network , you will be asked to shut it down . If you do not comply end users are subject to up to a $10,000 fine.. Here are some links to read from the FCC to understand all the new rules

All the manufacturers are working on new units that will meet these tough new standards and they should all be releasing them by the end of the year

Personally, I am not the least bit concerned that the feds (or Verizon) are going to go snooping around campgrounds to determine if the cellular repeaters being used are compliant with the new regulations. The new regs will force new equipment to be compliant, but I'm not going to lose sleep about being brought to justice for using my illicit repeater.

All they will be looking for our units that are causing harmful interference on cellular networks . As far as anything else they do not have the time ,means or funding to go hunting for old amplifiers. But the new regulations give them teeth if you have a unit causing problems

If you are willing to put your phone in a cradle and use bluetooth to talk, the Sleek is a great solution. Be sure you either purchase one made for your provider or the latest version that has a switch to go between Verizon and AT&T. Combined with a Wilson trucker antenna it does wonders.

As to a dual antenna system that boosts the signal from an outside antenna and retransmits it throughout your RV, the only ones currently available are 3G only, and in general you can only expect an amplified signal within 7' -10' of the inside antenna. There is a $900.00 system from Wilson that does both 3G &4G, but it requires more separation between antennas than you can get in a RV.

There are RV repeating systems on the horizon...

Well said. This is why the Wilson Sleek is so popular. 3g and 4g boost for about $100 on Amazon. Depending on your situation you could boost the phone and run other devices via WiFi. As mentioned, be sure to get the correct 4g booster.

  • Which provider are you on, that is what matters?

Once you figure that out you should look for the Wilson Sleek 4G for that carrier...
