Roaming

Check with your service provider. Many plans don't charge for Canada anymore. We only pay roaming if we go to Europe.

When I was on vacation I turned on airplane mode and turned on wifi on my iPhone. That way I could hookup to wifi if available.

I am sorry, what I forgot to say was we are going to Canada/Alaska next summer and we were advised by some to turn off roaming before we enter Canada or we may not want to see our bill when we get home.....
