- taddyportExplorerI can't give you any specifics on the Good Sam model or specifically on the Garmin you are speaking of, but I have a Garmin Nuvi and love it. I have had no issues with it to date. Have traveled about 6000 miles over the last few months covering about 10 states and it hasn't steered me wrong. Good voice activated directions and key in also if you prefer, sometimes it doesn't recognize exactly what I'm saying. I hope that helps

I have the Garmin RV 760 and I have never experienced a "freeze up". The screen does a good job in sunlight and so far I have had no issues with it taking me where I should not be going.
Trying to decide between these 2 for RV travel. Several reviews stating "freeze up" on Garmin. Any issues with Good Sam? Scanned a few reviews and sounded positive - just hoping someone on here might shed a little more light. Thank you. - pawattExplorerWe have used Good Sam RVND 7725 since it's release and are very happy with it. it does make an occasional error.
- iawoody2ExplorerNever have had any problems with my Garmin rv760ltm. Have had over a year.
- RFCN2ExplorerHave been using the Garmin 760 for a week now. I have liked Garmin GPS for quite a while now and this one is the best ever. I also have the wireless backup camera that I installed in my Jeep Wrangler tow car. Both work very well. I watched a couple of youtube videos to install the back up camera and it fired right up the first time I tested it.
These things are expensive though. My wife bought for me for Father's Day. I was too cheap to buy it on my own. My two previous Garmin's are both still working fine. - LantleyNomadI also Have a 760 LMT and BC-20 Camera. I have had them for about a year with zero issues
- Rocky2ExplorerI have had both. I returned my CW version of the Rand McNally after using it for one major trip. I did not like the routing choices it made and the menu design. I now have the Garmin. The routing seems better and the quirks of the menu design are not as frustrating as the RM to me.
- Finally_TimeExplorerI have the Good Sam Rand McNally 7725. I like it, have never had any problems. Once you have set the particulars about your RV and have selected your routing choices, e.g. "avoid small roads", "allow toll roads", etc. it is easy to use. Entering addresses is different. Once I got used to it, I like it better than the Garmin I use in my car. The large screen is easy to see, and I really like the campground search feature.

Can you watch the picture from the backup camera on your Jeep from the 760 on the Dashboard of your RV while pulling the Jeep down the road?

I assume you can take the Garmin from the RV and put it on the dash of the Jeep while driving around town, and then see the backup camera image from the tow car.
Do you have any extension wiring between the RV and the Jeep to support getting the backup image up to the front of the RV? - RFCN2ExplorerPopsie - We have a back up camera in our motorhome, so have not tried to use the Garmin one. My Jeep rig has the camera connected to the back up lights in the Jeep, so that would have to be done to use camera in motorhome. Sorry cannot help you.
