- Chris_BryantExplorer IIDometic has a bluetooth enabled version of the hew CT model, though I'm not sure if it's out yet. Has Android and iOs apps.

not when the factory wants 300,000 pieces. CW sells what people buy lots of. I'll bet if you took a straw pole on RV.net you would find very few even remotely interested in that since it requires continuous wifi to work other than standalone (although it would be fun).SCVJeff wrote:

But there is already a market for RV specific products, just take a walk thru Camping World is one example.
If you really want to do it, that drawing above will get you in the ballpark - neschultzExplorerI have an Emerson Sensi at home and it works great over WiFi and phone. I emailed them earlier and got the following reply. Should work for other brands as well.

There simply isn't enough market to build something RV specific. You're better off figuring out what might be able to adapt. You'll also need to supply whatever you use with 24vac in order to keep it alive. That's going to be another engineering project for dry camping, especially making AC if the stat can't take DC - timmacExplorer

Bingo that sounds great, never thought about the Bluetooth.
The big reason I want a thermostat to operate with my Iphone is during Vegas hot summers months I can turn the temperature down inside RV from my home before going out to RV and to turn thermostat back up when I forget to adjust back up for electric savings, I leave my RV plugged in at home but try as much as possible to not let the a/c run all day during the hot summer days.
It would be nice if some tech guru would get into the RV after market and start offering us this tech stuff we can get for our homes.

- Yeti_plusExplorerI looked at these T-stats at Home Depot Canada the other day. They all require 24 Volt supply from furnace, so they are a no go for an RV with 12V controls.
I like the idea that I could turn off furnace at night and then turn it back on from the warmth of the bed under the duvet. Wait 5 minutes and the camper would be nice and warm. - gboppExplorerRVing is getting more technical all the time. :B
