SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 player - Will not turn on

Shouldn't show up as a u1 drive or any other storage..

Should show up as a "Media player device" (MTP).

Good thing there is no format option, you don't want to format MP3 players as that can really mess them up as sometimes there may be folders or files the player uses in that space.. Which may be what happened to your player.

Did you try plugging the player into a USB charger and then try to turn it on? Battery may be dead and the player may have froze..

Try a standalone USB charger and allow several hrs time to allow battery to charge up.

If nothing above works, the player firmware may have been corrupted..

You might try downloading the firmware from the above site and see if you can reload the firmware.

If all above fails, it may be time to replace..
