Satelite signal

Several have suggested that I have the wrong satellite. I did say that I had 97 signal strength but what I failed to say is that with the satellite finder hooked up not only I am getting 97 signal strength but also all of my programing. So in that case it has to be the correct satellite correct?
Again my only issue is that when I take the satellite finder out of the loop and replace it with a connector I loose signal to the receiver with the satellite finder in line every thing works correctly.
