ScanDisk Clip+ Can't see audio books on PC

I have Rockbox my Clip+. I move audio books from my PC to the Clip+ to listen to the audio books. All has been working well. Today I wanted to add two more audio books to the Clip+. I have lots of space on the 8Gb drive.

The problem is that when I look at the clip on my PC (Drive E) in the place of The existing audio books I see a Wav file "R_MIC_160414-100310.wav" along with 2 sys files. My OS is Win 7-64

I see the same file if I attach to the PC in rockbox or Sansa.

I can still listen to the book on the clip. So the books are on the Clip, my computer (windows explorer) simply can not see them.

I have changed the USB cable and the USB port.

When all else fails contact my RV friends.

SOMETHING CHANGED in folder settings on the PC

need to change it to something like view all files ?

    control panel
    folders and options
    show hidden files
show extensions aka (Do NOT hide extensions)

    maybe this will help

    if NOT
try system restore to a know good date, when everything worked

I tried window Explore and Total Commander on two different computers. No luck.
