Sirius XM Radio

I realize that a subscription is required and that there is a monthly fee for that. What would I need to purchase to get sirius XM service in our 2007 motor home? I'm assuming a new radio? Any suggestions to get me started in my search? Thanks

  • if i'm reading things correctly it sounds like I would need two of the XSDV3 kits - one for each vehicle and then one SXPL1V1 receiver that I would be able to move between the two vehicles?
  • The XM receiver will broadcast on an FM channel so you just tune your existing radio to it. Or, for better sound, you can use a cable with stereo 1/8" plugs and connect it directly to the aux. input on your existing radio if it has one.
There are plenty of aftermarket stereos with built in XM that you could buy and install too if you really want it built in. I never spent all the money and time that way took.
  • what type of connection do I need to use from a kit to my existing radio?

  • Assuming that you don't have a system that receives the SiriusXM signals, yes...you need to purchase a radio and a subscription.

Lots of XM radios out there...probably even get one at Best Buy, maybe even Walmart??
or, you can contact SiriusXM directly. They can set you up with everything you will need...radio, antennae? and subscription.
