slingbox anybody?

I use my Dish network sling box equipped Hopper DVR all the time......I rarely use my RV mounted Sat dish anymore......

For me it's much simpler than aligning my manual roof top dish......just bring up my dish anywhere app and plug in the phone.......

We watch NASCAR races, live TV and movies from my sling box........Netflix too....


I do have an old Unlimited Verizon data plan.......last Thanksgiving week we used 18 gigs of data in 7 days.......

Here on the west coast we have excellent 4G coverage.......sometimes in the 50+ MPS range.......makes for excellent TV streaming.......

Using cellular for your Slingbox connection will cost you a ton of money unless you are amongst the tiny privileged few that still have some form of unlimited internet. Using campground wifi will likely not provide you with a usable connection.
If you are parked in one place for the Winter and you can get a paid cable or DSL connection you might do just fine.

At the campsite?? The problem is the internet bandwidth that it needs. Can't rely on CG WiFi for obvious reasons, and it'll put your MiFi adapter data plan in the poor house. Not really a good idea for camping....
