Speaker with embedded volume control?
We have a 5 1/4" speaker directly over our kitchen sink which is linked to our entertainment system. While the volume is fine for watching a movie, it's way too loud when washing dishes. Ideally...

If you don't want to go to the trouble of installing a control you could pop off the speaker grille, cut up a piece of padded material, and place it inside the grille to muffle the sound. If one piece is not enough add 2. I'm thinking one of the oil absorption mats they sell at auto parts stores would work well but anything that can provide muffling quality would work.
