No way do I see even a higher end windows tablet able to replace a laptop. Only for every day general computing needs. Anything else no way! I work in the engineering world. Tablets can't even begin to do whats needed.
Except for spreadsheets on tablets, I agree. It seems a keybd, mouse or stylus would be needed on all but the simplest sheets, and IMO the window that tablets provide to take in workplace-sized documents is too limited.
