I have a 2012 Tiffin Open Road Pusher, with Dish hooked up to a permanent satellite on a pole during the summer. I was watching TV last night when the picture went totally blank as I was switching a light on over the couch. When I turn the sat receiver off and on, nothing comes on the screen. I checked all the connections, but I don't think that is the issue, as I would normally be able to get a setup or menu screen if it was just a loose connection. I tried a friends receiver, but nothing. I can switch over to antenna and I have a picture with that. Just nothing on satellite. Could I have a loose connection at the distribution box where all the cables come together before the final cable goes to the TV's?? I don't even know where that is on this coach. One of my earlier Tiffin's had that mounted on a frame rail underneath the coach. Anyone know where that might be on this coach, and would that make sense?I didn't bother to call Dish, since I don't even get a setup or menu screen.

Dead LNB could do it. But you need to do a receiver reset then go through setup completely. If nothing happens, I guess you will need to try and find someone to come out and check your equipment

is the receiver box lighting up?no menu from receiver. receiver has died...menu will show if antenna/dish failed.call dish...

This may sound like a silly question, but have you turned that light back OFF yet?

I feel your pain. Lost signal between satellite and TV in my Tiffin. Turned out to be a Tiffin installed electronic switch box in the bedroom had gone bad. I could check using a second TV to verify that the satellite system was working properly. Your sounds like it may be different but worth a check. Good luck!

The connection in a Tiffin coach between the receiver and the RV is either HDMI or Component and I am pretty sure it's HDMI. I believe he addressed that in his post on the Tiffin forum.

he said nothing about HDMI, only that he lost pix when he turned on the light. It's possible that input went dead but there's no reason not to reverse diagnose the problem

you didn't answer the question on the light? This wouldn't be the first time that a noisy LED has taken out satellite receiption.

As I mentioned in your post on the Tiffin forum, a connection problem between the receiver and the TV is a local issue and not something Dish (or any satellite provider) could help you with. If the connection between TV and receiver is working you would see a bouncing Dish logo and/or be able to access the Dish setup menu.

After turning the TV off for an hour, and called Dish. As I was on hold, I turned the TV back on, and had a picture again. So this mystery continues.

If you have no connection between the receiver and the TV then you will have to search out the issue(s) with your cabling and/or splitters. If you can see the Dish logo or you can access the Dish menu but you can't receive programming you can call Dish. However, it does not sound like either of those is the case as you are getting a signal on the OTA side but a "no signal" message from the HDMI connection and that is NOT a satellite TV issue but a message coming from your TV letting you know that there is no input coming in from that connection.

It's obvious there's no connection between the receiver and the tv, which is either (as said) wrong input selected or a loose/bad connection.

Did you try using the TV remote and cycling thru the HDMI inputs on the TV
Could be a stay infrared signal switched to a different HDMI and your TV is not on the HDMI cable from the sat box

Also could be a dead input on the TV or a bad HDMI cable
