Zachary, I do the reboot as you describe it. The problem seems to clear up when I do that temporarily. I have an air 2, purchased in Feb this year. I really don't know if everything is updated I have no idea how to check that.... But chrome seems to take care of itself and I have had a couple of automatic Apple updates occur the same time as DW does. When I go on Facebook, which is a rare event, when the problem is occurring I cannot get pics to expand, but when I reboot then I can. I will try your suggestion of settings and reset things.
