Traveling to east coast with Dish Network
I’m in the planning stage of a trip to Long Island for about a month in the spring. I have Dish Network with a 1000.2 western arc antenna and VIP211K receiver.
I’m wondering if there is a problem receiving the satellites, especially 129W, because of the low elevation of the satellites from the east coast.
Anyone have any experience with using western arc antenna on the east coast?
Also, I have tried to aim my 1000.2 western arc dish at the eastern arc satellites 72.7W and 61.5W from home in New Mexico. I was able to get them and received many channels on 72.7W but none on 61.5W. Is there any programming on 61.5W? If there is useful stuff there what do I need to receive it? Would this be a good option on the trip?
