or systems and turn the adapter off , then back on
I have been doing LOTS of those things - LOTS. I've uninstalled the linksys software, reinstalled, let linksys run the wireless, let XP have it (less buggy w/r multiple hibernations over months and even a few years), and reset my network via a XP wizard.
It seems to be working again this afternoon for restart and hibernation. I will let it hibernate overnite and check it in morning, and if that fails, I'll do a restart, and if that fails... enter Mr. Sea'Scape...

I believe an earlier post picked up on your problem. It sounds as if your wireless card is not waking up after hibernation.
When you do a restart on the computer, does the wireless connect? If, after hibernation, you can unplug the wireless card and plug it back in, and it connects, it indicates the card isn't waking up.
Likely not a router problem, but a problem in setup of the wireless card. Have you looked for updated drivers or setup software for the card?
If it worked before, you might try removing the card and then deleting the drivers. Shut down the computer, reinsert the card and boot up. The drivers will reinstall.
Sea'scape, the linked site below has a driver update to v3.2 (from my v1.1), citing W7 hibernating issues, which I have seen some complaints about.

I downloaded the setup zip file. Can I trust this site, do you feel?
