I hooked ethernet cable and I am guessing because Firefox is so slow at each enter command with add-ons like ghostery and adblock, I did not see a big speed difference.
But I do have GOOD NEWS on the router front…I searched forums and found the tiny reset button in the rear. Holding this in about 30 sec reset the router. Now the linksys software was able to load (after several attempts on 2 PCs before this, no go).
Everything looks right on now. So it seems I did have a router issue. I guess I knew as much when the XP laptop was not connecting standing next to the router (until I’d unplug/replug to get a connect)
I’ll report back if it acts up again.
