Went thru ALL the steps to find and prepare the firmware as per clear igoogled third-party nstructions, even saved a firmware backup file. In 'Administrative' section of the God-awful Linksys wevsite, I locate my cownloaded file, press 'Upgrade' button, and get this
"Upgrade are Failed."
'nuff said. This router problem only just came up two weeks back, and several weeks after working just fine in its new spot.
How does a router make and unmake a connection to an adapter??? Under what conditions does connection fail while signal is strong??
And why isn't a new W8 Dell or Samsung smartphone being periodically unable to connect like the two XP rigs ans a simple Hindlr Fire (until I reset router power)
