I have an original ipod touch. I find I don't use it much anymore. The screen is just to small to do any reading, or surfing. I bought an ipad to use to surf the net & read email, etc.
I do take the ipod touch to doctor appointments occasionally, in case I have a long wait, I can read email or something ( if they have wifi).
For music, I use my ipad, or my ipod.
