Good information. This year we did not travel outside Indiana, but did travel all the way North and all the way South and still able to get our local stations. For example, one local Indianapolis station is WTHR (Channel 13 - NBC). What I did at home, I captured the Satallite number and Transponder number for that station. After the initial set-up, if Channel 13 does not come through, I'll go to the 611 set-up, manually change the Satallite and Transponder number and then go to Channel 13, and it comes in, no problem. Here again, I'm not "that" far out of my local range, and have not tried this 300 plus miles from home. But so far, this is working OK for Indianapolis locals.
Sometimes I think I should have a hole through the trees, but I really need to get a better compass. It's not accurate. So after I move the Tailgater a few time, I always get a signal.
