I know in the morning where I am going. I call Dish at 7:00am, tell them I have a Tailgater and ask them to change my service address AND to reset my locals to the new location. I keep the representative on the line until the old locals disappear in the guide and the new ones come in. Pack up everything for the trip. When I set up later in the day everything is ready for the new location. No re-booting just to get new locals guide data. I have never changed my zip code on the dish itself or done 611 pointing. When I plug it in I change the state if necessary and complete setup. I just returned from a 23 state trip and never had a problem. I have a stand alone PAYG plan so maybe that is different than most people.
